Announcement

We are seeking two qualified Pharmacists to join our team at Hospitali ya Taifa Muhimbili (MNH). As a Pharmacist II, you will be responsible for supervising the dispensing of medicines, compounding extemporaneous preparations, and organizing the preparation of sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals.

Additionally, you will provide drug information to patients and healthcare personnel, deliver ward pharmacy services, supervise and appraise staff, and perform other assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervise the dispensing of medicine according to doctor’s prescriptions.
2. Oversee the making of extemporaneous preparations (compounding).
3. Organize the preparation of sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals.
4. Provide drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare personnel.
5. Deliver ward pharmacy services, including in-patient prescription monitoring and therapeutic drug monitoring.
6. Supervise, appraise, and identify development and training needs of staff.
7. Perform any other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
• Successfully completed a one-year internship.
• Registered by the Pharmacy Council.
• Possess a valid practicing license.
