St. Augustine Hospital – Muheza is pleased to announce the availability of job opportunities for qualified Tanzanians.
We are currently hiring for the position of Assistant Technologist – Laboratory (03 positions) and Assistant Technologist – Pharmacist (02 positions)
The employment permit has been granted by the Secretary General, Office of the President (UTUMISHI), with Ref.No.FA.10/128/01″M”/150 dated 09/05/2023.
Position: Assistant Technologist – Laboratory (03 positions)
Location: Selected Hospital of Mt. Augustine – Muheza, Muheza DDH
Qualifications and Experience
- Fourth Form (IV) education.
- Certificate in Laboratory Science from a Government-recognized college.
- Valid license from the Council of Laboratory Professionals Tanzania (Health Laboratory Practitioners Council).
- Maximum age of 45 years.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare reagents for laboratory tests.
- Perform preliminary work on samples brought to the Laboratory.
- Collect blood samples from patients and volunteers.
- Record and communicate test results.
- Prepare work equipment.
- Properly store samples after investigation.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the head of work based on education, experience, and knowledge.
Salary Scale: TGHS A.1, equivalent to Tzs 492,000/= per month.
Position: Assistant Technologist – Pharmacist (02 positions)
Location: Selected Hospital of St. Augustine – Muheza, Muheza DDH
Qualifications and Experience
- Fourth Form (IV) education.
- Certificate in Medicine from a Government-recognized college.
- Valid license from the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania.
- Maximum age of 45 years.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the needs and usage of drugs and medical equipment.
- Order, store, and distribute drugs and medical equipment in the assigned work area.
- Provide information on the use of drugs and medical devices.
- Maintain records of medicines and medical supplies.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the head of work based on education, experience, and knowledge.
Salary Level: TGHS A.1, equivalent to Tzs 492,000/= per month.
General Conditions for Applicants
- Tanzanian citizenship is required.
- Possession of a National Identity Card/Number (NIDA).
- No criminal convictions.
- No previous termination from a Government job.
- Applicants who have previously held a Government Check Number are not eligible.

- Birth certificates are required for all applicants.
