Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the leading provider of accessible specialized health services in Africa and serves as healthcare social enterprise and through development programmes in the community and the most vulnerable.
Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities including obstetric fistula repairs.
Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
We are looking for Medical Attendant(s) that are interested to also perform the duties as Mortuary Attendant
Duties and Responsibilities
To clean and disinfect the mortuary daily as assigned;
To collect and receive bodies from the wards for preservation; Wash, dry, measure and position bodies. Embalm bodies. When required prepare bodies for postmorten examination.
Ensure adequate administration and records keeping for all mortuary services. When not assigned to mortuary duties, you will assigned duties like other health attendants as assigned as per laboratory in-charge roster.
You are expected to work in shifts
Qualifications
- Form 4 certificate one year basic nursing training or any health attendant course from a government recognized institution
- Basic training course in Mortuary attendant is added advantage
- At least 2 years working experience in a mortuary.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication skills in English and Swahili
- Flexibility.
- Multitasking.
- Pro-active and eager to learn.
