A laboratory scientist is needed to work as microbiology tutorial assistant/applied microbiology in Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST).
Duties and Responsibilities
- This is a training post; the staff is required to undergo a Master Degree training programme and attain a GPA of at least 4.0
- Undergo an Induction course in pedagogic skills for those who had none before;
- Understudy senior members, Including attending lecturers and seminars, tutorials and practical training;
- Conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals;
- Assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities; and
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.
Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor of Science in Microbiology/Applied Microbiology and Chemistry/Medical Laboratory Sciences/Biomedical Laboratory Sciences with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 or its equivalent qualification in a relevant field from recognized University. Applicants must be registered and recognized as practitioners in their fields by their relevant professional Boards/Councils.
