Good Samaritan of Tanzania, a medical institution in Moshi, is seeking to hire two Medical Doctors for its clinical department.

POSITIONS: Medical Doctor I (2 positions)

Qualifications and Experience

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent from a recognized institution
• One year of internship experience
• Registration with the Tanganyika Medical Council

Duties and Responsibilities

• Attending to in and out-patients for clinical issues
• Assisting in teaching and supervising medical students
• Attending to emergency medical duties
• Providing medical care to in and out-patients
• Ensuring prescribed instructions are carried out
• Conducting minor operations
• Assisting senior physicians/surgeons during operations
• Participating in major ward rounds
• Supervising medical students and interns during clinical duties
• Ensuring patients are prepared for surgery
• Participating fully in clinical sessions, patient presentations, and journal clubs
• Participating in research activities
• Performing any other duties assigned by their superior

Renumeration

Attractive salary package in accordance with the Government’s salary scale TGHS E

General Conditions

• Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens not exceeding 45 years of age
• An up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable contacts, including postal address/postcode, email, and telephone numbers, must be attached
• Certified copies of degree/diploma certificates, diploma transcripts, Form IV National Examination certificates, birth certificate, and NIDA must be attached
• Attaching copies of Form IV/VI results slips, or any other certificates not mentioned is strictly prohibited
