Job Summary
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking a Nurse to assist with nursing activities for hospitalized patients in Tanzania. The organization delivers emergency aid to those affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, and healthcare exclusion.
Candidates should have a Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery, be registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council, and possess fluency in Swahili. Knowledge of Kirundi, French, and English is a plus.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist nurses in providing care and treatments, ensuring hygiene and safety.
- Monitor patients, assist with feeding and hygiene, and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in nursing activity monitoring and information transfer between teams.
- Ensure cleanliness of the working environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Participate in hospital meetings, trainings, health education sessions, and other requested activities.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and cleaning as per protocols.
- Implement emergency treatment measures according to MSF protocols.
- Ensure quality care for patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery.
- Experience as nurse aid or similar.
- Registered by Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council with a valid license.
- Essential: Swahili; Kirundi, French, and English are beneficial.
