The Director of the Geita Town Council announces to the citizens that there is an opportunity for contract works at the Geita City Council Hospital for the “National Health Workforce Volunteering Guidelines“.
Nurse Assistant – (09 Positions)
Duties and Responsibilities
- To do nursing work to serve customers in the community, hospitals, and all places when health services are provided.
- Supervising and coordinating all the work of health workers in his workplace.
- Collecting statistics and preparing information on his work performance.
- Providing care to patients at home.
- Provide counseling.
- Provide preventive and contraceptive services.
- Providing maternal and child health services.
- Educating patients and the community about their health problems.
- Monitor the maintenance of work tools in its work areas.
- To do other work assigned by his head of work related to education, his experience, and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
- Have a two-year Nursing certificate from a College recognized by the Government and Enrolled by the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 45.
- Whether he volunteers/has volunteered at Health Service Centers in the Council of Geita City.
- The applicant should have Form(IV) or Six (VI) Education.
- Be a citizen of Tanzania.
- Applicants should submit their resume (CV) and one photo (passport size).
- The applicant must submit a copy of the birth certificate along with the National ID.
- Submit a copy of the professional certificates along with the license.
- Attach a letter of commitment.
Pharmaceutical Technology Assistant- (1 Position)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Classify, prepare and order the needs of drugs and medical equipment in his area of work.
- Distributing medicines and medical supplies to patients and staff.
- Mixing medicines.
- Store medicine and medical supplies.
- Educating the community about the correct use of drugs.
- Checking drugs, medical devices, chemicals, reagents, and cosmetics in his work area.
- Provide information on the side effects of drug use.
- Coordinating the work of the hospital drug committee.
- Prepare information on the use of drugs and medical devices.
- To conduct a quality inspection of drugs, chemical therapy equipment, reagents, and cosmetics.
- Conducting various inspections in places where medicines are stored.
- Supervise the performance of the employees who are under it.
- Keeping records of medicines and medical supplies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a Certificate in the field mentioned above from a college recognized by the Government and registered with the Councils there where relevant.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 45.
- Whether he is volunteering/has volunteered at Health Service Centers in Geita Town Council.
- The applicant should have Form (IV) or Six (VI) education certificates.
- Be a citizen of Tanzania.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Testing samples brought to the laboratory.
- Storing samples that need to be examined or sent to higher-level laboratories.
- Perform laboratory inspection tasks, reagents, equipment, chemicals, and storage.
- Keeping laboratory records that have been obtained during the investigation.
- To teach the servants under him.
- To perform other tasks assigned by his head of related tasks and his education, experience, and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
- He should have a Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from the College which is recognized by the Government and who are registered with the Councils where it is concerned.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 45.
- Whether he is volunteering/has volunteered at Health Service Centers in Geita Town Council.
- The applicant should have Fotm (IV) or Six (VI) Education.
- Be a citizen of Tanzania.

Motuary Attendant – (2 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning the mortuary.
- Receiving, washing, and caring for dead bodies.
- Other tasks will be assigned by his work leader.
Qualifications and Experience
- Employed fourth-year graduates who received one-year training in the field of health.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 45. iii. Be a citizen of Tanzania.
- Submit copies of professional certificates.
Assistant IT Officer – (1 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing IT systems in Hospitals.
- Repairing equipment (Computer, CCTV Camera, Photocopy Machine, etc.).
- Managing Got-Homis systems in Hospitals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Have a Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology in the fields mentioned above from a College recognized by the Government.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 45.
- The applicant should have Fourth (IV) or Sixth (VI) Education.
- Be a citizen of Tanzania.
- Applicants should submit their resume (CV) and one photo (passport size).
- The applicant must submit a copy of the birth certificate along with the National ID.
