Pharmaceutical Technologist Class II – 2 Positions

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology of three years duration from a recognized college
  • Must be registered with the relevant professional council

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Classify, prepare, and order drugs and medical equipment in the work area.
  • Distribute medicine and medical equipment to patients and staff.
  • Mix drugs.
  • Store medicine and medical equipment.
  • Educate the community on the correct use of drugs.
  • Check drugs, chemical therapy equipment, reagents, and cosmetics in the work area.
  • Provide information on the side effects of drug use.
  • Prepare information on the use of drugs and medical devices.
  • Conduct quality inspection of drugs, chemical therapy equipment, reagents, and cosmetics.
  • Conduct inspections in places where medicines are stored.
  • Supervise subordinate employees.
  • Keep records of medicines and medical supplies.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the head of work.

Technology Officer Grade II (Artificial Organs) – 1 Position

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Prosthetics from a recognized college.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the clinic for people in need of prosthetic limbs.
  • Examine disabled individuals to understand their prosthetic needs.
  • Plan procedures for the creation of artificial limbs.
  • Take measurements for the manufacture of artificial limbs.
  • Fit and adjust artificial limbs for disabled individuals.
  • Provide education and training to subordinates.
  • Teach students in prosthetics colleges.
  • Provide counseling to individuals in need of prosthetic limbs.
  • Manage activities related to creativity, production, supervision, and care of raw materials.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the head of work.

Doctor Class II (Medical Officers) – 8 Positions

Qualifications and Experience

  • Doctoral degree holders from recognized universities/colleges.
  • Completion of internship and registration with the Tanganyika Medical Council.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform medical work related to various diseases, including children’s and maternal diseases, general surgery, and emergencies.
  • Provide and manage health education and community health improvement.
  • Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
  • Maintain and utilize statistics as per MTUHA principles.
  • Plan and evaluate health services in the workplace.
  • Teach students and employees.
  • Supervise and direct subordinate employees.
  • Design and conduct research and disseminate results.
  • Design and prepare strategies to improve service quality.
  • Prepare budget plans and estimates for health services.
  • Participate in medical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide outreach services in the district/region.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the head of work.

General Conditions for All Applicants

  • Salary levels will be based on the National Guide issued by the Ministry of Health in July 2021.
  • Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens, aged between 18 and 45.
  • Attach copies of secondary education and professional certificates and employment license.
  • Attach a copy of the birth certificate.
  • Submission of forged certificates will result in legal action.
  • Provide personal information (CV) with contact details and three sureties.
  • Attach a letter of identification from the Village/Street Executive.
  • Attach two passport-sized photographs to the application letter.
  • Attach copies of guarantors’ letters and their voter ID or NIDA cards.
  • Be willing to work in any department and ready for transfers.
