Job Summary:

The enrolled nurse will play a crucial role in providing safe and individualized nursing care to patients with basic care needs in accordance with home-based care policies, procedures, quality improvement, and patient safety norms.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and quality assurance officer.
• Perform physical examinations, including vital signs assessment such as blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration rate, and temperature.
• Collaborate with registered nurses, medical doctors, and other healthcare workers to develop patient and client care plans.
• Provide first aid during medical emergencies.
• Prepare daily patient reports.
• Assist patients with mobility issues, personal hygiene, and feeding.
• Administer medication, including injections and orally.
• Conduct urinary catheter care.
• Provide wound care.
• Perform other nursing care tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Education, Work Experience, and Skills

• Certificate in nursing from a recognized institution.
• Current registration with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Nursing Council (TNMC).
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital setting or home-based care.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
• Ability to plan, develop, and work independently as well as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and honesty.
• Hardworking and capable of working under pressure to meet patient needs.
