Job Summary

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Nursing Officer II at Hospitali ya Taifa Muhimbili (MNH).

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients’ conditions, providing treatments as prescribed, maintaining contact with patients and their relatives, ensuring patient safety and security, adhering to infection prevention and control principles, and performing other assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ conditions and identify their needs.
• Ensure treatments are carried out as prescribed and observe any side effects.
• Follow hospital policy regarding custody and administration of all drugs, with specific attention to DDA drugs.
• Maintain personal contact with patients, their relatives, and visitors to improve the patient’s quality of life and uphold the hospital’s reputation.
• Ensure the safe care and custody of patients’ property in accordance with hospital policy.
• Maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere, creating a dignified environment.
• Uphold health and safety standards by adhering to infection prevention and control principles.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification and Experience

• Holder of a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registered by the Nursing and Midwives Council.
• Must possess a valid practicing license.

Remuneration: As per MNH Salary Scale.
