Nursing Grade II professionals will be responsible for performing nursing tasks in various settings, including the community, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.

They will supervise and coordinate the work of other health workers, collect statistics, and provide services such as patient care, counseling, preventive and contraceptive services, maternity and child health services, and health education to patients and the community.

They will also monitor the maintenance of work tools and perform other assigned tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform nursing tasks in community, hospital, and healthcare settings.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of health workers in their assigned area.
• Collect statistics and prepare information on work performance.
• Provide services to patients at home.
• Offer counseling services.
• Provide preventive and contraceptive services.
• Provide maternity and child health services.
• Educate patients and the community about health problems.
• Monitor the maintenance of work tools in their assigned areas.
• Perform other work assigned by their superior based on their education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess a two-year Nursing certificate from a College recognized by the Government and be enrolled by the Council of Nurses and Midwives in Tanzania.

• “Testmonials,” “Provisional Results,” “Statement of results,” document results of form four and six (FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
• Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates are verified by the relevant Authority approved by the Tanzania Universities Commission (TCU), Council of National Examinations (NECTA), and Tanzania Technical Education Council (NACTE).
• Retired Civil Service applicants are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Chief Secretary.
• Job applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions located in Public servants should not apply and should follow the instructions contained in Document By CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
• Submission of false information and falsifying characteristics of the parties will result in legal action.
