Position Summary: IHI is seeking qualified Clinical Officer Interns to join their team in Bagamoyo. These interns will provide support at the Ifakara Clinical Trial Facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist patients following National Guidelines for Clinical Management and Standard Treatment Guidelines.
- Review laboratory results and resolve data-related queries.
- Attend internal and external meetings at the facility during study conduct.
- Contribute to the development of study standard operating procedures and documents.
- Communicate and collaborate with all personnel involved in the trial.
- Supervise study procedures to ensure compliance with approved protocols, ICH Guidelines, and local regulations.
- Work professionally and ethically with accountability and integrity.
- Participate in community sensitization meetings to recruit study volunteers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Leader.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
- At least one year of working experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong time management skills.
- Knowledge of good clinical practice (GCP).
- Excellent computer skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Team player.
- Deadline-oriented.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English and Swahili languages.
- Adherence to IHI core values (Integrity, Initiative, Equity, Excellence, Accountability).
