Executive Director of Liwale District Council Non-Governmental Organization known as Médecins Frontières/Doctors Without Borders engaged in Maternal and Child Health Services, hereby announces contract positions for three years (3) for the following cadres:

Assistant Nurse Grade II (ANO) – (6 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing nursing services
  • Collecting essential health statistics
  • Directing subordinate nurses
  • Educating patients and communities about their health issues
  • Providing preventive and reproductive health services
  • Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications and Experience

Must have a Diploma in Nursing from a Government-recognized College, Nursing License, and be enrolled and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.

Salary: As per Government directive, the salary is TGHS B and organization’s scale.

Nurse Grade I (EN) – (4 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing nursing services to clients in the community, hospitals, and all healthcare facilities.
  • Supervising and coordinating all healthcare workers in their workplace
  • Collecting statistics and preparing performance reports
  • Providing home care servicesProviding counseling
  • Providing family planning and reproductive health services
  • Educating patients and communities about their health issues
  • Monitoring the maintenance of equipment in their workplaces
  • Performing other duties assigned by their supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications and Experience

Must have a two-year Nursing Certificate from a Government-recognized College, Nursing License, and be enrolled and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.

Salary: As per Government directive, the salary is TGHS A.

Health Attendants (MA) – (7 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing workplace cleanliness, ward, and environmental sanitation
  • Assisting disabled and immobile patients with toileting and bathing
  • Assisting in feeding incapacitated patients
  • Collecting patient samples for laboratory tests and monitoring results
  • Preparing materials for wound cleaning and dressing
  • Monitoring drug needs for patients from the drug store
  • Performing other duties assigned by their work leader related to their education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications and Experience

High School Diploma and one year of training in a health-related field.

Salary: As per Government directive, the salary is TGHS A.

Pharmacy Assistant – (7 Posts)

Must have completed Form Four and received one-year training in pharmacy-related field.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing and using drug and medical supplies
  • Ordering, storing, and distributing drugs and medical supplies in their workplace
  • Preparing reports on drug and medical supply usage
  • Maintaining records of drugs and medical supplies
  • Performing other duties assigned by their supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications and Experience

Must have completed Form Four and received one year of training in a health-related field related to Pharmacy.

Salary: As per Government directive, the salary is TGHS A.

General Requirements

  • Must be a Tanzanian citizen
  • Age between 18 and 45 years
  • All applicants must attach a copy of their birth certificate.
