The Tanzania Police Chief has announced new job opportunities to join the Army of Tanzania Police.
General Qualifications of Applicants
- Be a citizen of Tanzania by birth.
- Must have graduated from form four between 2019 to 2022 and be aged from 18 to 25 years.
- For applicants who completed the fourth form, they must have passed the first to fourth grade (Division I-IV). Applicants with a fourth-grade pass (Division IV) should have achieved points (Point) 26 to 29.
- Those with diploma and diploma-level education should be between 18 to 29 years old.
- Must be at least five feet and five inches (5’5″) in height for men, and five feet two inches (5’2″) for women.
- Should have graduated from the National Building Force (JKT) and the National Building Force Economy (JKU) located in the Camps and outside the Camps.
- Have a national identity card or identity number from the authority of national identities (NIDA).
- Should be in good physical and mental health certified by a Government doctor.
- Should be single, married, or have a child.
- Must not have used drugs.
- Should be ready to attend the initial training of the Police profession.
- Must not be employed or have never been employed by another Government institution.
- Should be ready to do Police work anywhere in Tanzania.
- Should be ready to pay for themselves in all stages of the interview in case they are called.
- Must not have tattoo marks on their body.
- Must not have any criminal records.
- For applicants with Diploma level education (NTA level 6) and Certificate level (NTA level 5 or NVA level 3), the following fields are eligible:
- Music (Music and sound production, performing arts, film and TV production)
- Sewing (Graphics and printing design, leather crafting, sewing machine maintenance, sewing operator, sign writing)
- Carpentry and joinery
- Auto mechanics (Automobile mechanics, Autoelectric engineering & Autobody repairs)
- Applicants who pass the interview will be selected.
Required Attachments
- All applicants must attach the following copies:
- Copy of birth certificate
- A copy of NIDA National ID or NIDA number
- A copy of the JKT/JKU training certificate for those outside the camps.
- Copies of professional certificates (Academic Certificates).
- Copies of secondary school graduation certificates (Leaving Certificate).
- For fourth form applicants who have graduated from JKT/JKU training outside the camps (uraiani), their requests should be sent to the Commanders of Police in their respective Regions and not the Dodoma Police Headquarters.
- For fourth form applicants present at JKT/JKU camps, applications should be submitted to the Regional Police Commanders through the Heads of camps where they are.
How to Apply
[ad1]For applicants with Diploma and Diploma education specified above, they will be required to fill in the form (attachment ‘A’), available on the website of the Police, showing their personal information.
The submission of the form should not be by scanning, but they have to download and fill in the relevant information, then send it along with the application (If in pdf format) via email to admin.phq@tpf.go.tz. All applications submitted by hand or by postage will not be accepted.
All applicants are required to write their own letters of application by hand (Handwriting), including phone numbers, and send them to the address:
