Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) is currently looking for suitable candidates to work on mentioned vacancy of Research officer.  The interested candidates to work on mentioned positions should follow instructions 

The research officer will be responsible for participating in the development of standard procedures for working with documents for studying, analyzing data, and ensuring that the implementation of the project corresponds to the prospects of the project.

Open Positions

Ifakara Health Institute is seeking skilled Tanzanian to fill the following positions

1. POSITION: Research Officer – VAC078 (1 Post)
2. POSITION: Research Officer – DYNAMIA (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare a site that has standard equipment and qualified personnel for the vaccination test.
• To ensure the site meets the required standard prior to the conduct of the survey, submit completed documents to the checklist (update) and answer the question addressed in conjunction with the sponsor or designee.
• Engaged in the development of research, a common operational procedure, and learning documents.
• Hire, monitor, and do the planned research as specified by each protocol and SOP.
• To ensure that the standard operating procedures of all protocols and documents related to the study are properly communicated and followed correctly by all employees involved in the case.
• To ensure that all ethical concerns in the protocols approved by the review board are adhered to accordingly in the case.
• Working through academic and ethical accountability and integrity
• Attend a community outreach conference to recruit academic volunteers.
• Writing, submitting, and publishing research papers. Perform additional duties as assigned by the project leader.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Doctor of Medicine with 1 year of experience.
• Knowledge and competence Time management to establish priorities and schedule the project.
• Leadership and management skills to conduct meetings and conflict resolution (effective in decision-making).
• Self-knowledge to reduce conflict and performance audits and feedback.
• Working hard. Communication, writing, and speaking.
