Consolata Ikonda Hospital, established in 1968, is owned by the organization of the Missionaries of the Virgin Mary Consolata and collaborates with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through Makete District Council to provide health services to citizens.
The Medical Officer of Consolata Ikonda Hospital would like to announce job opportunities for graduates of various health cadres with the following qualifications:
ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER II (ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER II) – 13 POSTS
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a form four or six certificate
- Must have a Nursing diploma from a Government-recognized college
- Must be registered with the Tanzania Nursing Council
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients/clients in accordance with professional ethics and guidelines
- Provide health education to patients/community
- Monitor the health problems of patients and the community
- Provide immunization services for mother and child, as well as safe childbirth
- Manage and coordinate the work of subordinates
- Perform other assigned tasks related to education, experience, and knowledge
Salary
- Depending on the Institute’s salary scale
- Addition of other allowances
RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST II (RADIOGRAPHER) – 3 POSTS
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a form four or six certificate
- Must have a Diploma in Radiology Technology II from a Government-recognized college
- Must be registered with the Radiation Council Tanzania
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine patients referred to the radiology department
- Maintain radiology equipment and facilities
- Review X-Ray images for quality and adequacy
- Take care of X-Ray images until they reach the doctors
- Supervise employees under their supervision
- Prepare and supervise the cleaning and sterilization of medical/diagnostic equipment
- Provide advice on matters of Radiology and Radiation work
- Provide initial training to assigned employees
- Perform other assigned tasks related to education, experience, and knowledge
Salary
- Depending on the Institute’s salary scale
- Addition of other allowances
LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST – 2 POSTS
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a form four or six certificate
- Must have a Diploma in Laboratory Technology from a Government-recognized college
- Must be registered with the Health Laboratory Practitioners Council
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine patients referred to the laboratory
- Maintain laboratory machinery and equipment
- Supervise employees under their supervision
- Prepare and supervise the cleaning and sterilization of medical/diagnostic equipment
- Provide advice on laboratory work in their area
- Provide initial training to assigned employees
- Perform other assigned tasks related to education, experience, and knowledge
Salary
- Depending on the Institution salary scale
- Addition of other allowances
