Job Opportunities for Various Healthcare Professionals Bunda

The Director of Bunda District Council wishes to announce job vacancies for the positions of DRIVER, NURSE, and RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST.

All Tanzanians from Mainland and Zanzibar who meet the qualifications listed below are invited to apply:

1. Driver Grade II

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have completed either Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
• Possession of a valid Class E or C1 driver’s license for operating vehicles, with at least one (01) year of accident-free driving experience.
• Completion of basic driving course at a recognized institution such as Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or other government-accredited training centers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Driving ambulances.
• Inspecting vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety.
• Transporting referred patients and escorts to designated medical facilities.
• Conducting minor vehicle repairs.
• Maintaining accurate travel logs.
• Cleaning the vehicle.
• Performing other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Salary Scale:Monthly salary of Tzs. 350,000.00.

2. Nurse Grade II

Qualifications and Experience

• Must possess a two-year Nursing certificate from a government-recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care services to patients in community, hospital, and healthcare settings.
• Supervising and coordinating the work of healthcare assistants in the designated area.
• Collecting data and preparing performance reports.
• Providing home healthcare services.
• Offering counseling and family planning services.
• Conducting maternal and child healthcare services.
• Educating patients and communities about their health issues.
• Monitoring the maintenance of medical equipment in the workplace.
• Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor related to their skills and work experience.

Salary Scale: According to Government Salary Scale TGHS A1 (Tzs. 492,000.00) per month.

3. Radiology Technologist Grade III

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Radiology Technology from a government-recognized institution.
• Registered with the relevant professional council.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducting radiological examinations on referred patients.
• Maintaining radiological equipment and supplies.
• Reviewing X-ray images for diagnostic quality.
• Managing patient records until results are delivered to referring physicians.
• Supervising subordinate staff.
• Providing advice on radiological issues and practices in the workplace.
• Preparing work schedules.
• Sterilizing and managing sterilization equipment.

Salary Scale: According to Government Salary Scale TGHS B (Tzs. 740,000.00) per month.

General Terms

• Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
• All applicants must attach a copy of their birth certificate and National Identification (NIDA) card or NIDA number.
• Detailed CV with addresses, contact numbers, and names of three reliable referees must be attached.
• Academic and professional certificates along with two recent passport-sized photographs must be provided.
• Applications from candidates educated outside Tanzania must be authenticated by relevant authorities (NECTA and NACTE), with an equivalence report attached.
• Former public servants seeking employment must obtain clearance from the Secretary-General, Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance..
• Applicants found providing false information will face legal action.
• Shortlisted candidates will be notified of the interview date through the Bunda District Council official communication channels.
