8 Job Opportunities for Various Healthcare Professionals at St. Elizabeth Hospital

The Archdiocese of Arusha Catholic is announcing job vacancies for St. Elizabeth Hospital, and welcomes job applications from Tanzanians in the healthcare field who possess the qualifications and capabilities to fill the specified positions as follows:

1. Radiographer Grade II – 1 Post

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a Diploma in Radiography Technology Grade II from a government-recognized institution and registered with the Medical Radiology and Imaging Professional Council.

Dutie and Responsibilities

• To attend to patients directed to their area of work for accurate radiation as prescribed by the specialist radiologist.
• To maintain radiotherapy machinery and equipment in their work area.
• To inspect and supervise the quality of radiation provided by radiotherapy machinery.
• To supervise subordinates.
• To provide initial training to staff assigned to work in their area.
• To provide advice on radiotherapy and radiation-related issues in their work area.
• To prepare medical equipment/investigations and supervise and sterilize equipment in their work area.
• To perform other duties assigned by their supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

2. Nurse II – 5 Posts

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduates of Form Four or Six with a two-year Nursing certificate from a government-recognized institution and enrolled with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Tanzania.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To supervise and coordinate all nursing duties in their work section.
• To provide counseling to clients/patients.
• To perform other duties assigned by their supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

3. Physiotherapist II – 1 Post

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a Diploma in Physiotherapy from a government-recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To treat patients under the supervision of senior staff.
• To maintain records and statistics within the department.
• To maintain equipment in the unit/department and report.
• To perform other duties assigned by their supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

4. Dental Surgeon II – 1 Post

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be a graduate with a Degree in Dentistry from Universities/Colleges recognized by the government who have completed a minimum of twelve months of internship training and registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To perform all hospital medical duties related to oral and dental diseases.
• To provide preventive and curative services.
• To supervise the performance of subordinates and perform minor surgeries.
• To maintain records of equipment and instruments for service delivery.
• To perform other duties assigned by their supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

General Requirements

• Must be a Tanzanian.
• Must be between 18 and 45 years old.
• Must possess valid certificates of Form Four, Six, Profession, and registration to work.
• Must have a National Identification Number (NIDA).
• Must have a personal profile.
• Must have a copy of the Birth Certificate.
• Must be ready to work at Catholic Archdiocese of Arusha stations.
